About me
Hi, I’m Sophie.
I’m passionate about all things careers! I love helping others explore their ideas, find a path that suits them best, and develop the skills needed to reach their goals. I care deeply about inclusion and equity, and believe that everyone should have the opportunity to utilise their interests, skills and strengths in a fulfilling and purposeful career.
Since qualifying as a Careers Adviser in 2006 I’ve gained a wealth of experience in my field, working with thousands of clients across the globe in a variety of career stages and from many different backgrounds. I’ve coached experienced professionals, postgraduate and undergraduate students in top UK Business Schools, and even secondary school pupils, just starting out on their career journey.
As well as being a career coach, I’ve also worked in recruitment, liaising with employers directly to help them hire the best talent, and have continued to speak to employers within my most recent roles. This means I have a clear understanding about what recruiters are looking for, such as what makes a compelling application or a strong interview, and I use this to inform my work with clients.
I have a ‘portfolio career’ - in addition to my own career coaching business, I also work in a variety of related part time contract and freelance roles to keep things interesting and to continue to develop myself professionally.

I hold the Qualification in Careers Guidance (QCG), meaning that I’m qualified at level 6 (degree level) as a Careers Adviser and I’m also a member of the Career Development Institute, the UK’s professional body for all aspects of career development. I’m a Registered Career Development Professional (RCDP), which means I adhere to the CDI’s Code of Ethics, which includes providing confidential and impartial advice & guidance to all my clients.
In addition, I also hold the British Psychological Society’s Level A & B qualifications (now called “Test User: Occupational Ability and Personality”) which means I’m able to deliver aptitude and personality tests. I’m a licensed practitioner in the personality assessment tools MBTI, Strengthscope and EQ-i 2.0, and use these when relevant to support my clients with building self awareness.
